Stewardship

Product stewardship is an essential component in every partnership. By upholding ourselves to consistent standards of weed and insect management, commodity marketing and stewardship integrity—we help ensure the long-term success of each technology and innovation offered to farmers. In support of this, helpful guides have been created to assist you and your customers in this shared commitment to product stewardship.

Helpful documents are included in the sections below.

Grower Licensing

Bayer CropScience has adopted the AgCelerate Stewardship Platform for grower licensing. AgCelerate is a single place for you to view, manage and assist your growers in signing technology agreements for Bayer CropScience and other trait providers.

The benefits of this online portal include:

  • Provides a one-stop shop to help ease both the reconciliation process and technology agreement compliance management across the seed industry
  • Offers better representation of each grower’s farm profile and means by which they do business, simplifying the reconciliation process to better match farm entities with sales transactions
  • Allows growers to sign and store their technology agreements across multiple trait providers in one convenient location
  • Facilitates communication between you and growers, helping ensure your customers can access the latest seed technology

We encourage you to register with AgCelerate to take advantage of its many benefits, including facilitating the reconciliation process and technology agreement compliance management.

Use the Seed Supplier and Grower Flyers to learn more about the AgCelerate system. If you have any questions or difficulties, contact AgCelerate.

Insect Resistance Management

The U.S. Environment Protection Agency (EPA) requires growers who purchase and plant insect-protected seed to follow an Insect Resistance Management (IRM) plan. The main benefit of an IRM plan is to help prevent insect populations from becoming resistant to B.t. technology. As we all know, it is in the best interest of seed companies and their farmer customers to protect the integrity and viability of these valuable tools.

Providing farmers with tools to understand why IRM is essential and how to be compliant is a critical component of IRM. Please use the appropriate IRM guide for your business below, and help us educate about the requirements and how to follow them.
